PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk ("the Company") continues to reinforce its commitment to developing a highly skilled workforce for Indonesia’s polymer industry through the establishment of the Impack Polymer Science Institute (IPSI). The institute is being developed in strategic collaboration with SKZ – German Plastics Center (SKZ – Das Kunststoff-Zentrum), one of the world’s leading research and training institutions for plastics technology.
As part of IPSI’s development roadmap, the Company successfully conducted an intensive Training of Trainers (ToT)program from July 27–31, 2026, during which IPSI instructors participated in five days of hands-on training led by SKZ experts. The program marks a significant milestone in strengthening IPSI’s training framework and ensuring the consistent delivery of internationally standardized learning programs.
Prior to the in-person sessions, participants completed 12 days of online training held on May 11–13 and June 2–12, 2026. Through this comprehensive program, trainers were equipped with advanced technical expertise, effective teaching methodologies, and global best practices, enabling them to prepare a highly competent workforce capable of meeting the evolving demands of the polymer industry.
President Director Haryanto Tjiptodihardjo said: “The establishment of IPSI represents the Company’s long-term investment in strengthening Indonesia’s human capital. Through our collaboration with SKZ, we are committed to delivering internationally standardized training that supports the Government’s efforts to reduce unemployment while creating greater opportunities for better livelihoods and higher incomes, particularly in underserved communities.”
To support the development of a future-ready workforce, IPSI will offer three specialized training programs tailored to the needs of the plastics and polymer industry:
- Fundamentals of Polymer Science and Manufacturing
- Operator Training Program – Production Operator
- Operator Training Program – Maintenance Operator
These programs are designed to provide participants with a structured learning pathway, combining fundamental knowledge of polymer science with practical skills in manufacturing operations and equipment maintenance.
IPSI is open to a broad range of participants, including graduates of vocational high schools (SMK) and senior high schools (SMA), newly recruited production operators, and professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in polymer manufacturing and maintenance.
By providing accessible, industry-oriented training for individuals at various career stages, IPSI aims to strengthen Indonesia’s talent pipeline for the plastics and polymer sector while expanding opportunities for sustainable employment in advanced manufacturing.
Backed by an investment of approximately IDR250 billion, IPSI is being developed as an internationally benchmarked polymer education and training center. The institute is designed to equip high school and vocational school graduates with practical, industry-relevant, and future-oriented skills through hands-on training and industry-aligned curricula.
Through this initiative, the Company expects IPSI to create broader career opportunities, improve employability, and develop a highly skilled, job-ready workforce that will support the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of Indonesia’s polymer industry.
